We are beyond excited to announce major upgrades to Adamsdale Park including a splash pad, planned upgrades to the Carmichael Skateboard Park, and a new project idea to create a new, fully accessible playground near the Grace Tot Lot between Pius XII School and École Saint-Pierre.
  • Take the opportunity to better know our executive, and to provide your input on any new projects you wish to see. Your input is welcomed and appreciated!
  • Hear from the Minnow Lake Restoration Group about ongoing efforts to preserve and protect our waterways. Plans are underway to begin work on storm water treatment measures for Minnow Lake, including work at Minnow Lake Place and the St. Jean catchment area in that area of the Lake.
  • Councillor Lynne Reynolds will be attending to provide her updates from City Council and from her work from around the ward. Have a burning question regarding municipal issues? This is your chance to get information!
  • We have launched a new website to provide better updates to the community. Our new online home will be mlcan.ca. We also hope to be on Facebook and on Twitter in the coming months, and will continue to publish the Minnow Lake News.
  • June 4 was Planting Day in our Dog Park Community Garden, and a number of communal and benevolent plots have been made available.

There are a couple positions on the Community Gardens executive available. If you would like to have more of a say and help with organizing, please let Elise and the Community Gardens committee know at minnow.lake@yahoo.ca! We’d be happy to have you on board.

The Community Garden Network is selling rain barrels. If you or someone you know is looking for a rain barrel please visit https://rainbarrel.ca/SudburyCGN]]>
